State Boating Guides and Information

Before heading to the lake for your first venture of the year, it is always a good idea to double check your state's rules and regulations. Typically they don't change much from year to year, but its always best to be sure. Most State Boating Guides include great Safety Tips and Vessel Requirements which are helpful if you get stopped by a game and parks officer. If they aren't noted in your state's Boating Guide, they can be found on our site as well. And if the proper items aren't on your vessel when you are stopped by an official, it could mean game over for your day on the water. So please, take a look and be sure you're "playing by the rules" so that everyday is a great day!

Also many states have passed a law requiring the driver of the boat to carry a "Boater Education Card" if they are between certain ages.  If your state is on that list, you don't want to be caught without it!  Go Here and look up your state to see if you need to get your State's Card.
