The Great Loop

The Great Loop is a name given to an ultimate boating endeavor.  It is a journey that starts in Chicago on the river, comes down to meet up with the mighty Mississippi River, pours out into the Gulf of Mexico around the Florida peninsula, up the east coast, through the Erie Canal, The great Lakes, and back to Chicago again.  A journey that can take up to a year to complete is sure to be a once in a lifetime type of adventure!  We, here at Boaters for Life haven't taken this journey, only read about it.  However, we wanted to bring it to our readers' attention in case they were looking for something a bit more challenging than a week long vacation at a lake.

Here are some websites to inform you further of the amazing adventure that awaits!

Rivers are roads which move, and which carry us whither we desire to go.
